چکیده

Hyperbolic metamaterials (HMMs) offer unconventional properties in the field of optics, enabling opportunities for confinement and propagation light at nanoscale. In-plane orientation optical axis, direction coinciding with anisotropy HMMs, is desirable a variety novel applications nanophotonics imaging. Here, method creating localized HMMs in-plane based on block copolymer (BCP) blend instability, introduced. The dewetting BCP thin film over topographically defined substrates generates droplets composed highly ordered lamellar nanostructures hierarchical configuration. represent valuable platform subsequent pattern transfer into Au/air HMM, exhibiting hyperbolic behavior broad wavelength range visible spectrum. A computed Purcell factor as high 32 580 nm supports strong reduction fluorescence lifetime defects nanodiamonds placed top HMM.

Block Copolymer Nanostructures for Technology

Nanostructures generated from block copolymer self-assembly enable a variety of potential technological applications. In this article we review recent work and the current status of two major emerging applications of block copolymer (BCP) nanostructures: lithography for microelectronics and photovoltaics. We review the progress in BCP lithography in relation to the requirements of the semicondu...

Selective radiative heating of nanostructures using hyperbolic metamaterials.

Hyperbolic metamaterials (HMM) are of great interest due to their ability to break the diffraction limit for imaging and enhance near-field radiative heat transfer. Here we demonstrate that an annular, transparent HMM enables selective heating of a sub-wavelength plasmonic nanowire by controlling the angular mode number of a plasmonic resonance. A nanowire emitter, surrounded by an HMM, appears...

Nanostructures fabrication via self-assembly of hybrid block copolymer/nanoparticles in thin film

Hierarchical nanostructure of gold nanoparticles via self-assembled block copolymer have been investigated on native oxide-terminated Si(111). Au-nanoparticles were prepared via simple wet chemical method by using Poly styrene-block-4-vinylpyridin (PS-b-P4VP) as stabiliser in nonaqueous solvents. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) is used to characterise the size of the Aunanoparticles. How...

Block copolymer nanostructures mapped by far-field optics.

We demonstrate stimulated emission depletion microscopy using opposing objective lenses to noninvasively reveal the nanoscale morphology of block copolymers in three dimensions with focused light. This is exemplified in a poly(styrene-block-2-vinylpyridine) model system in which contrast is achieved by specifically staining the vinylpyridine phase with a fluorescent dye. We image swelling induc...
